FAQs
Chapter 15 is Jeffrey Court's allwhite, natural stone collection. Classic Statuario® is about the timeless and elegant simplicity of honed and brushed white marble, as well as the use of classic shapes to create remarkable installations.
A premium-grade white marble, we call Statuario, serves as the foundation of this collection. The stone is hand-graded to fall within a clean white color range with subtle grey veining.
Our design team selected a brushed finish for the field tiles in this collection. The brushing process uses heavily weighed-down, diamond-tipped brushes on the surface of the stone. This opens up the softer part of the stone, accentuating the veins. The end result is a traditional, antique look.
Classic Statuario offers an array of field tiles in various shapes and sizes. Options include a 6” x 18” Fluted field and 4” x 6”, 6” x 6”, 3” x 12”, 8” x 12”, 6” x 18”, and 18” x 18” traditional fields.
There are 15 mosaic options available. These add depth and character to any design. Whether you choose the intricate Cross Parquet or the modern Mini Sticks, each mosaic speaks to a different aesthetic. Choose from the Cross Parquet, Proper Pillar, Petite Plaid, Pointe Square, Mini Sticks, 1” x 4” Brick, 2” x 4” Brick, 2” Square, 1” Hexagon, 1-3/4” Herringbone, 1” Penny Round, Coit Nouveau, Waterfall, or Octagon Dot with a Polished Dot in Botticino or Black.
Additionally, our Drawn Stone tiles feature artwork inspired by European architecture and landscapes. Patterns like Scottish Chapel, Parisian Revival, Hindu Temple, Spanish Cathedral, Mediterranean Manor, Roman Sanctuary, Botanic Imprint and Floral Imprint – tells a unique story while transforming your space into a work of art.
Drawn Stone tiles stand out for their exquisite combination of modern technology and artisanal craftsmanship. Each tile features artwork originally created by the Jeffrey Court design team, drawing inspiration from European scenery, architecture, and color palettes. A key component of the Drawn Stone tiles' creation is our collaboration with StoneImpressions®, based in California. StoneImpressions merges old and new technologies in a process akin to modernized lithography, to bake the designs on to the tile.
White marble is a timeless classic and can work with any design style - from traditional to modern Classic Statuario can fit any design need.
Blending and Shade Variation
- To achieve your desired look, we recommend that you inspect and confirm the tile and layout before installation. Installation of tile constitutes acceptance.
- We highly recommend blending products from multiple cartons to ensure a proper uniform look. All issues pertaining to shade variations should be addressed before installation.
Setting Materials, Sealers and Grouts
- A high-quality white thinset meeting ANSI 118.4 or 118.11 is recommended for best installation results. Always check with the setting material manufacturer to ensure suitability of material in setting tiles. A grey mortar, mastic, or adhesive could stain or alter the color of the product.
- As per the Tile Council of North America (TCNA): “For cementitious grout, joints smaller than 1/8” generally should only be grouted with unsanded grout, and joints of 1/8” and larger should only be grouted with sanded grout.”
- Grout color is part of the design process and considerations must be made. A grout choice closest to the color and hue of the tile being grouted can be considered the safest choice.
- A natural-look penetrating sealer is recommended and should be used before and after grouting. Sealing before grouting will ease the cleaning process and will reduce the possibility of staining from colored grouts. Sealing after grouting will ensure that both the grout and natural stone are protected from daily use. It is recommended that the sealer manufacturer’s recommended maintenance regimen be followed as part of ongoing care during the lifetime of the product.
