Jeffrey Court Blog

Jeffrey Court’s Dream Room Scene Renovation Project is a part of our employee appreciation program and coincides with each new collection we release. For new product launches, it’s important for us to provide a visual of how our products can be used in an environment customers can call home. Using various resources, we work with many professionals in different ways to bring this vision to life.

Since 2021, we wished to capture the experience of the design-build process. Taking the audience from bathroom inspiration, through demo, to the final reveal. Capturing photos and videos along the way through our experience. Our employee appreciation program allows Jeffrey Court to capture these assets, makes for a more sustainable use of our products, and most importantly allows us to do in-home installations for our employees, who can enjoy their newly renovated spaces for years to come.

In the fourth installment of the Dream Room Scene Renovation Project, our President Scott Hassman hosted a company-wide drawing to select the next employee to renovate a bathroom in their home. This season features our latest product collection, Chapter 5 Modern Mixer™ a Terrazzo-focused product offering.

Before

After

The lucky winner of the renovation is Josefina, a 25-year team member at Jeffrey Court and set to retire in a few months. We couldn’t have planned this renovation better for such a deserving and valuable member of the Jeffrey Court family. Josefina was excited to dive into the demo, she started off the renovation by picking up a hammer and taking the first swing to transform her current bathroom into what is now her new oasis.

Focusing on our new product line, Chapter 5 Modern Mixer, the bathroom design came together by our in-house design team. The goal was to bring the warmth of the terrazzo into the space in a more traditional way.

The bathroom incorporated (2) Chapter 5 Modern Mixer tiles: 3” Hexagon Mosaic (51633) and Cloven Mosaic (51635) in the color Bourbon and (1) the Chapter 10 2.5”x10” Field Tile in Putt (22152).

To maximize the 54 square-foot layout, the team created the illusion of a larger space by opening Josefina’s shower with a pony wall and encasing it in glass. They also installed the 2.5”x10” Field Tile in Putt from the shower fixture wall, wrapping it behind the toilet, to elongate the space. This also allowed for more natural light to flow into the space, making it feel larger and less secluded for Josefina and her family.

Installing the 3" Hexagon Mosaic in Bourbon on the vanity wall created a "wallpaper-like" backdrop behind the mirrors. To add a "wow factor" and bring the space together the Cloven Mosaic, also in Bourbon, was used on the bathroom floor.

The bathroom came out beautifully, and the best part is that Josefina can enjoy the newly renovated space as she takes time to enjoy being with family and friends in her retirement. She will always be a part of the Jeffrey Court family, and we are fortunate to have her dedication.

"I am very happy with the bathroom Jeffrey Court gave me; it was a very nice experience. Thanks to Jeffrey Court and the Design team for making my dream possible. The work was very well done, and the material they put in my bathroom is beautiful. Thank you very much. And thank you for the Bathroom Remodel Giveaway; it brings a lot of joy to the people, thank you" – Josefina.
